As part of the Kickstart scheme, we are delighted we have been able to create a Communications Executive work placement, for a young person between 18-24 who is currently unemployed and on Universal Credit.

As a Communications Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the team at Cohere, working closely with its founders and associates, in the management and delivery of its internal and client projects.

Responsibilities will be varied, but could include the following: copyrighting, social media planning and creation of content, creating email marketing campaigns, supporting the planning and execution of events and research.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media channels (particularly Twitter/LinkedIn), be proficient in using Microsoft office, have some experience organising and running events, and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Skills in using CMS software such as WordPress, marketing, PR, video production or graphic design would be an advantage.

Cohere is a strategy and communications consultancy that works with social impact-driven organisations to evolve their activities into influential narratives and campaigns.

As well as the experience of working with us, the successful candidate will gain access to structured skills development and training through Cohere and CRATE, a Kickstart gateway provider for small businesses. 

The role is for 25 hours a week and for six months initially. It will be paid at the London Living Wage – currently £10.85 an hour – for a pro rata annual salary of £ 21,157.50.
